[Oe List ...] The Cross and sundry things . . .

Dear George,
This comment about the blue radio came to me as hilarious! Who else would
understand the kind of wild things we did, precious items that we left
who-knows-where, and many of the in-house stories we tell. What did you
leave somewhere and can't imagine where it is now?
Fred and I left some great decor in the Amarillo House. One large wall
handing was a piece of oak with a wrought iron metal COMMUNITY of people
welded on it. Another was a piece of sculpture of a family with 2 parents
and 3 children. Later we assumed it either went to Indianola or that
Joyce Shenk had it for safe keeping. We still do not know its
where-abouts. However, our lives have moved on and it has become only a
fun story to tell. Here it comes -
We were called on a Tuesday to come into a prior's meeting that weekend to
prepare for our trip to Kawangware, beginning by contexting our children
and raising our funds for the trip. We did both but that is yet another
story. We had been told not to pursue the Nairobi assignment so Fred had
turned down a job offer at the university. Fortunately he asked the
university to keep him informd about any job in the future in case our
assignment changed - Well, as you know, we arrived a month later in
Nairobi on January15th, 1976, Fred had a job at the university which began
the 1st of February.
You are loved,
Nancy
