  I spent time on the phone yesterday checking on friends that were near the fire areas.  Of the people you all might be interested in, here's what I found out.  Ted McClelland and his family were evacuated Tuesday night and all are well.  No news about their home as yet.  Don and Marileen Johnson who live in the Vista area are fine.  They said their patio was covered with ash.  Dianne Greenwald and Ray Caruso who live in Escondido are all OK.  Just thought you would like to know.  Joan Knutson
