Actually, you can buy unlimited calling [from your computer+headset] to
regular phones anywhere in the USA and Canada for $30 a year or $9 a
quarter.

I love it and use it all the time to talk with my colleague Alexey in
Moscow. Also has a video chat feature built in for people who have web cams
with their computer system.
