[Oe List ...] A Great Life Completed

Rupert visited me a few years ago and wanted to meet Thomas Berry. We went
over to Greensboro and had dinner with Thomas. Rupert expounded on his
agricultural methods. Wildly incoherent at times but exuberant. He did have
a hear that would melt at a moment's notice and was passionate to the nth
degree. I rather imagine that when he died he blasted off like a rocket into
Heaven and is talking to everyone he meets.

Colleagues --

Just a brief note at the moment.  We'll want to pause for a moment to
celebrate the completion of a wondrous life, that of John Rupert Barnes, who
died yesterday in Kenya.  I just had word of it from daughter Elena.  

Ah, the stories we'll tell . . . .
