And those are the tune and phrases that popped into my mind first when Jim
asked about the Obedience song. My breathing is deepening at just the
thought of singing again. For years, if I went into a church, when the
singing started I couldn't do it. I would get all choked up. Maybe that's
why I've gone another direction than sticking with the experiment called
"church." (Maybe I should have been Catholic, since I've always done well
with guilt and now I'm into confessing! :>)

It's called "The Single Mind.'  The tune is "A Great and Mighty Wonder."
The last phrase was, "Our chastity the battle to create the single mind."

 

Living in the same house for 31 years has its rewards.  I found this in a
blue plastic-covered 2-ring binder called The Singing of Those Who Care.  It
is divided into  Movement Songs, Other World Songs, Pop/Folk Songs, Love
Songs, Local Community Songs, Human Development Songs, Spirit Songs.  There
is an overall table of contents, and one for each section.  I think I lifted
it from the summer program in Chicago in 1984.

 

I'd be happy to share it if it would be helpful to the publishing effort.
