We treasure those who have inspired us through the years, and are profoundly grateful when they are still with us.  Much appreciation to Anne Wood, Vinod, and all who have given news of Joe and John as well as Charles Lingo.

  What a glorious experience it was for Kamala , Sushil ( my brother) and me to meet Joe and John at the Four Seasons Hotel yesterday and to get a blow by blow account of their miraculous escape.They came out of the near-death ordeal unscathed physically, emotionally and spiritually.  

  Joe's effervescent spirit and sense of  humour has not diminished at all. He welcomed us with his famous 'my my my '  and chatted virtually non stop even during  lunch. Reliving the old memories  over Indian snacks ( ' little rascals' as he still calls them ) was so refreshing..so enriching. 

  We felt abundantly blessed in his presence. John's  stunningly courageous support to Joe during the entire ordeal is simply admirable.

  P.S. Joe and John called just this minute to say that as soon as they get their baggage from the Oberoi hotel they will leave for the airport to catch a 1 am flight back home.
