And even here you have to listen to an asinine commercial before you get to the story.

After someone reported not getting through on the link that worked last night, I checked again - message came up "Page Not Found .... May have been removed."
It makes me very angry that "news" organizations can go on and on about every detail of some things - I'm sure they'll analyze every detail of the life, family, hobbies of the young man who shot people yesterday at a college in Illinois. But justice issues get such short time-lines, little or no context, no discussion of policies that could help, etc.
I did just now find some things via the CNN home page - www.cnn.com <http://www.cnn.com> . In the Search box at the top of the page I typed in Australia aboriginal apology. From several selections in the column at the right I got some useful things. >From that list a good page: Australia aplogizes to Aborigines. Better check it quick - might be down by this afternoon! I tried to e-mail this to the O:E and Dialogue list servs, but got a message that there may a problem as my e-mail is "the same domain" as the destinations. Because I'm on the list servs? So you may need to find it yourselves. Grr!

I had to do some searching when starting from the link that George sent, but did find it. Very moving stuff. Here is the url where I just found the 7 short videos with different aspects of this great event for Australia:
http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/asiapcf/02/12/australia/aborigines/index.html#cnnSTCVideo
Congratulations to all Australians. As one who was in the parliament for the apology said,
"There wasn't a dry eye" in the place. We join you in rejoicing, and hoping for a future when all the gifts of all the people will be encouraged, celebrated, rewarded.
