[Oe List ...] Australians to apologize to Aborigines

Someone said that just as in our time we can see further into the future, we
can also see further into the past than any previous generation. There are
some things we see now that are so egregious they demand both some kind of
truth commission and formal apology. Reparations is another matter, which I
won't address here.
It is heartening to see the Australians take this step. The United States
should consider a formal apology to African-Americans and Indians, to the
Japanese for their World War II internment and to the Japanese and German
people for the bombing of civilians.
Would anyone want to add to this list?
