Really fine sermon, Herman (and Denise). I've already passed it along to several others and it made me reflect back a year or so when I was accumulating books such as "When Corporations Rule the World" by Korten, "America:What Went Wrong?" by Bartlett & Steele, and "Gangs of America" by Nace. I need to get back to them and finish reading them. Jim Wallis, of Sojourners, just had an article re: Healing the Wounds of Race where he describes how the threatened "old politicians" are stirring up this business of race relative to Obama because they fear the "new politics" and what it might do to them.
