Wow! I went to bed about midnight our time singing with you all I can see a
new day- all the way from Christies Beach, South Australia. This past year
has been an amazing one for the world and all of us I think.

November a year ago Kevin Rudd became prime minister of Australia,
immediately signed the Kyoto agreement and within a few months, parliament
opened with a welcome to country by the aboriginal peoples of Canberra- a
first- and then Kevin delivered a long awaited- Sorry speech to the
Aboriginals for systematic stealing of their children and putting them into
boarding schools to be assimilated into Australia-European life.

A few months later Canada held a similar ceremony.

Now we have President Barack Obama. How good that sounds.

Perhaps the 21st century is really being born.

Peace,

Jeanette
