Amen to all the posts that are so uplifting.

Remember how after 9/11 Americans were being defined as to whether 
they were patriotic or not by whether or not they wore American 
flags? People started sporting flags on their vehicles and lapels, 
and were afraid to say anything that could be construed as being 
un-American.

Last night I decided to dig out my American flag pins, I hadn't worn 
them in years, and listened with amazement when the Republicans 
dissed Obama for not wearing one during the campaign. Now I'm going 
to wear them with pride, rather than fear; now I'm interested in 
seeing other people's fears washed away by this new opportunity to 
hope in America's future in the world.

Yes, a new century has dawned. May God bless Barack Obama and us all!
