Funny, I was walking home last night and thought of Kevin Rudd also, in
light of Obama's victory. (I'm surrounded by Australian's here). It really
feels like a generational shift is starting to happen around the world. And
I'm really surprised, actually, to see that it is my generation (Obama and I
are the same age) that is stepping up. We are a generation that no one even
acknowledges the existence of -- people try to put us either with the
Boomers or with Generation X -- and lo and behold, here we are. 

Walking home last night was honestly the first time in my life when I felt
proud to be an American. So proud, I actually wanted to *tell* people. Wow.
