[Oe List ...] Salmon with Reflections on Handel's Messiah

Bravo, Pare Salmon.   Bravissimo!   Fortissimo!   (No such words but it works 
for me!)

I just erased Handel's whole Oratorio of the Messiah from my laptop after 
playing parts of it before Christmas to my six graders in the last four years.   
Of course, since Mozart did a version of it, I was hoping that the Rolling 
Stones might do one as well.

With brother Bill's exaltations, I just pulled out Kiri Te Kanawa (soprano) 
and Anne Gjevang (contralto) with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra & Chorus' 
recording of the Messiah's selected Airs et choeurs, and appropriated his 
listening ear so that I might vicariously bask in the same air of his infectious 
enthusiasm.   It worked.
