Dear Lois,
Thank you for sharing your very sad news with us on this listserve. David touched my life in many ways, not least because your family was a Presbyterian family in the Order like the Bishop family, and we were in a minority....somehow being near you two made me feel more secure.  I admired you both, and David's forthrightness, and willing to risk himself.
Jim and I send our love and blessings without number, as David moves towards the Light and Glory and Peace. George Packhard has said it beautifully for me, thank you George.

  David Zollars is dealing with very aggressive colon cancer and is the final stage of his life journey.  Our family has met with the Dr.  and made some hard decisions, but we are all on the "same page".   We are now in the stage of comfort and care only.  Dr.s feel they have done all that can reasonably be done and we are opting not to put him thru more procedures.  The outcome is inevitable, and to do more would be selfish on our part.    We have been very lucky to have had 50 great years of marriage and have three wonderful children and their families, including 5 grandchildren!!!
