Dear Lois, Jeff, Andrew, and Allison, and families,   Our prayers for mercy
and peace were answered so quickly.  We will be thinking of you with deep
care tomorrow as you celebrate the life of your spouse and father and
grandfather.  We were with you on the West Side of Chicago in 1969 and
summers and councils.  We are so grateful for the visit with David and Lois
a couple of years ago as they journeyed through NC.  I don't know the ages
of your children, but would recommend a book called Granddad's Prayers of
the Earth by Douglas Wood, illus by P J Lynch as one helpful part of their
celebration.

David Zollars completed his life journey on October 15, 2008.   He died
peacefully with family by his side.  We are planning a grand celebration of
his life for Sat. Oct.18th including New Orleans Jazz, Barbershop music and
a fine meal.  We have invited people to wear hats to this celebration as he
always loved wearing and seeing people wear hats.  The struggle is over and
Peace is calm.
