[Oe List ...] no longer/not yet

"no longer/not yet":

M. J. is partly correct. Go to _The Theology of the New Testament_ by
Bultmann, p. 100, bottom portion (quoting Paul's Phil. 3: 12-14). In his
_Existence and Faith_, p. 248ff. talks of the "peculiar interim" of the
crisis of faith or the crisis of decision, one of his favorite phrases.

This, too, came from the neo-orthodox mvt. of early 20th cy (Barth, Brunner,
etc.) which put out publication "Between the Times" (?).

So, "no longer/not yet" came from all over. Not sure where we got it. If you
Google "between the no longer and not yet" get a big load that doesn't
really mention the guys above.

Part of human culture, finally, I take it.

John

No recollection of the "wedgeblade" from Bultmann; yes, from DHLawrence poem
-- interesting take on it is

Marge, it's in Bultmann's New Testament Theology (forget which volume),
complete with the wedgeblade and the X. (You didn't think we were that
original with our board images, did you?)

Unfortunately, I left my hardbound copies behind in the Boston Religious
House, so I can't check out the page numbers for you. But maybe Bengel
could.

My mind is slipping, I can't find the quote or source for that reading in

Anyone have the quote, book, chapter, verse?
