 From Adam Thomson, Dover UK

You will realise that a lot of non-US citizens
are watching developments in the US Election in a
state of compassion combined with shock, awe,
fear, despair and hope. The rest of the world's
lives could be affected by the US Election result
even more than those of US citizens.

I personally have downloaded Obama's acceptance
speech and have played it through several times
as a way of countering my own chronic despair at
this point. Jim's posting of course mirrors the
content in Obama's speech; in fact I think the
speech was as good as any in history, including JFK's and MLK's contributions.

It is difficult to "stay cool" at this time. I
found Jim's posting helpful in pointing us in the
right direction in fashioning our response to this challenge of our times.

Thanks, as always, for this forum and its contributors.
