Thank you, Kim. Are you in a position, or have the technical know-how, to sing the tune and put in on to this list service? Bev and I can sing the song, but we are more than technically challenged.

The song which you are describing, is Aryrang aryrang arariyo, the song which NY philhamonic played during their visit in South and North Korea.
Kwanryung Il song is written to the tune of a pop song (Sa-rang-hae Dang-sin-eul, Jung-malo Sa-rang-hae) which I believe became popular in the late 1960's among young adults in Korea. Both are beautiful.
