This evening, I board a plane to Los Angeles, where I catch another plane to
Fiji where I will spend 5 days getting briefed by folks at UNDP (the UN
Dev't Program), then on the 27th I fly to Honiara, the Solomon Islands. For
anyone who has not gotten my last few messages, I am going to work as a UN
Volunteer on the island of Santa Isabel - as an advisor to the Provincial
government there, primarily building their capacity in financial and project
management. The initial assignment is for a year, but can be renewed for up
to three years (the length of the project).
So, how can you stay in touch and follow along with my journey? I'm so glad
you asked <g>.
1. If you want to e-mail me, use my regular e-mail address (this one) -
tel at telphoto.com
2. You can read my blog, which I have renamed. The old address will
still direct you to the new address and all the Cameroon entries are still
there, but I've broadened it. The new address is http://telglobal.vox.com.
Who knows where I'll be going after the Solomons? I will also be making
regular entries on my running blog, for those who are interested in those:
http://revruns.blogspot.com.
3. You can also always follow me on Facebook - just look up me up and
ask to be my friend. I don't know how good my access will be once I'm there,
so I don't know how frequently I'll update, but I *love* reading all of your
status updates.
4. If you would like to get my monthly (or so) newsletter updates, I've
set up a Google group -- TELGlobal
(http://groups.google.com/group/telglobal) -- that you can sign up for.
(Technical note: it is currently "announcement only" which means I can write
and send out the newsletter, but it's not set up for discussion. If anyone
were interested, that could be changed.) To join the group, follow this
link: http://groups.google.com/group/telglobal/subscribe?note=1
NOTE: Access to the group on the web
requires a Google Account (sorry, but I swear it works *way* better & easier
than Yahoo). If you don't have a Google Account set up yet, you'll first
need to create an account before you can access the group. You can create an
account at:

lphoto.com&continue=http%3A%2F%2Fgroups.google.com%2Fgroup%2Ftelglobal%3Fhl%

Finally, if anyone is interested in contributing to my venture and did not
receive my most recent e-mail telling you how to do that, let me know. I'll
be happy to send it to you!
Take care, wish me luck. I'm *really* looking forward to warm weather and it
will be good to be back in a more slow-moving culture. I'm also looking
forward to worshipping with fellow Anglicans (and maybe even being able to
serve in my role as Deacon in my free time).
Grace and peace be with all of you,
