This past week I attended a town meeting in a true rural area with Senator Fiengold.

About 130 farmers one TV stations' reps and a few city folk from local Peace groups.

It was well organized. Many issues raised and a good interchange. When completed

(called to close at 2 hours) The Senator said it was the best meeting and most informative for him. I was not there before the roll call when each participant

could write their issue and then be called on. I did write this Senator a letter to take

with as meditation with this struggle. Being a couple minutes late gave me

an interesting perspective. The senator had many answers to all the questions.

No one in the audience gave a question with a great workable proposal.

I'm with Don Elliott with seeing so many facits that could make a major difference

with how we could change. I wish it could be as easy as Camp new Jerusalem.

Someone, some group, must give their life to know all the issues to be tackled.

Everythin must be done at once using the best wisdom available. That group needs to know and feel the story to bring every being into the work. The health issues are

not going to be fixed with beauracacy. Although trusted team captains are foudational.

You all have stated the many issues.

However, the Nurse practitioner will not give in to more hours at less pay -and the skimmers will not want to lose their glory.

I an concerned that this will be one more way to give without teaching, growing,

involving, increasing compassion and seeing each other as being in this together.

Twenty years ago I was part of a 20% cut across the board for a local hospital.

Funny, three months later they hired 3 more people to fill the job I lost.

For myself, the pain is too deep to jump in with both feet to be part of what needs

to happen. And, yet, I am involved with deep family health issues. Yet,I find myself

singing many of OUR sustaining songs. Today, It was "Born in plenty.................."

In gratitude for my life experiences.

And, today I celebrated a fine 73rd birthday.

In central Wisconsin, caring for the world with prayer.
