[Oe List ...] Heretic

Dan Tuecke's license plate reads "Heratic" - a deliberate mis-spelling
because someone else in Nevada had the correctly spelled "Heretic.". Dan had
a dictionary definition of heretic framed in his office; he was the only
liberal/progressive/Democrat in his company office.

Fred McGuire used to have a t-shirt that said, "Heretic - In Good Company"  
with dozens of names such as Galileo (and Matthew Fox) listed below, and a  
graphic person being burned at the stake.

Susan's perspective has always been challenging on this listserve, raising
questions that cause rethinking.  Her focus has been strongly on the pole of
individual responsibility and freedom, but never with a sense of that
responsibility being limited to one's own betterment.  Not heresy, but a
part of the mind of the group.  And it's our ability to weave in streams
that don't always represent 'majority thinking' that allow nuanced and
constantly evolving thought and care.
