[Oe List ...] Fires in Australia

On February 11th I got a note from Sally Gowers Wellard 
<wellardsally at bigpond.com> who lives in Canadian Lake, Victoria. She 
said. "We are fine - very lucky that there are no fires in our part 
of Victoria. Some dear friends are caught in it all - they were able 
to save their home but their neighbour lost his. 4 people in their 
small  community were killed. It was so very hot - and now we are 
cold - only 15C today from 46C just a few days ago."
