Thanks for sharing this, Frank.  Even those who don't know the Mayfields get a personal picture of the devastation.  All can have these folks in our thoughts.

  Dear Friends
   
  Some of you may remember former Adelaide colleague Jim Mayfield, now in Victoria with wife Shirley.  He sent this email, with photos, in response to the many emails and phone calls asking how things were in his territory.
   
  They had a fire in their neck of the woods, metaphorically speaking, just before the big outbreaks.  The surrounding area was burned, but their house was safe.  S
