Dear Carolyn, "Young Jay," and Ann,
Jay Sr. and Ann were like Order parents to Terry and me in many ways due to our friendship with Young Jay, and the strength of their presence the times we encountered them in Chicago, and the stories we heard from Young Jay.
Jay Sr. has such a twinkle in his eyes that always said to me that he didn't want to miss anything-didn't want to let some opportunity pass by because he loved his life and loved giving and laughing. And later in the early 90s when we visited in Hamilton and met his grandchildren, he talked about having learned to ice skate, and that same twinkle came into his eyes. (Ice skating? What an adventure!) And although our visit a few years ago found him slowing down, the twinkle in the eyes was still there, making me want to stand up a little straighter, get involved, get moving.
Terry & I deeply appreciate Jay's life of expenditure and joy. Do take care, Antenens.
Grace & Peace,
Diann McCabe

Jay was on the EI/ICA boards for many years and was an active
supporter of the Cincinnati Metro. He organized RS1 courses, led
hundreds of town meetings
throughout all the counties of Kentucky and initiated many civic
activities in his beloved hometown of Hamilton, Ohio.
