[Oe List ...] 2nd message re Pat Moriarty's email message

Is the inability to delete unique to Mac? I am in Microsoft on a PC using
Outlook for email, and I simply clicked on the last of the approximately 300
out-of-office messages from Moriarty (i.e. the one at the top of my inbox
messages), then used my mouse on the right vertical toolbar to scroll down
to the first such consecutive message (i.e. the Moriarty message lowest on
my screen before another person's message interrupted the flow), held down
my shift key and left clicked on that bottom message. That highlighted a
block of Moriarty messages, which I then deleted using the big "X" on my
toolbar. I then went to the next contiguous set of Moriarty messages and
did the same until I had deleted all clumps of Moriarty messages. Then I
went to the "deleted" file (or trash) and deleted everything there all at
once by highlighting everything in that file in the same manner and clicking
on the big "X" on the toolbar again. Anyway, had no trouble deleting them.
Maybe I'm totally missing the point here or maybe the people having trouble
deleting are all on Macs and there is something different in the way the Mac
reacted..

Sarah, I think it depends a bit on what email program you use. I use Eudora
on my Mac, and can highlight and delete them. (Then I went into the Eudora
folder and dragged the trash file to the Trash, just to be sure.) Have you
tried using your Command key and delete button at the same time?
I know there are other Mac users on OE who may have better ideas.
