[Oe List ...] Celebrating the completed life of Carol Borovic

Dear Colleagues,

Long term ICA Australia colleague, Carol Borovic passed away last Sunday. Carol, in her seventies, was ever positive and thinking missionally until the end.  She still had hopes of going back to Timor Leste, where she had spent some significant time over the last few years,since her retirement, pioneering in working with colleagues there. She had, in the past year, moved back to Brisbane, and struggled with a willing spirit and and an ailing body. We are grateful that, at an ICA event, not so long ago, we had Carol telling some of her life stories..Carol's wonderful stories will long be remembered.

Carol's funeral and wake will be held at 10.30am on Monday October 5th in Dalby, Queensland. Some colleagues will attend, and ICA Australia will be sending a flower arrangement to Rilla and Sandra, Carol's sisters. Some of you may wish to contribute to the costs of the flowers. If you would like to do this, you can do a direct deposit into the ICA (working account), BSB: 084223, Account No: 46 300 1237.

Within the next few weeks, ICA Australia will be asking for donations for the Carol Borovic Memorial Fund for ICA work in Timor Leste.

 ICA Australia has been trying to fund a group of facilitators to go to Dili and hold training sessions for people in Timorese communities which are planning for their futures. We would join with Alex Gusmao of Timor Aid, so that training can be delivered to communities most in need. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to this cause.
