Herman is the President of the Center for Ecozoic Studies* (a group that
puts a focus on the work of Thomas Berry; he just led us in the publication
of a tribute book, over 300 pp/over 150 tributes from ordinary and famous
followers of Thomas: $20 including s/h -- a book to cherish, with several
tributes from our OE/ICAcommunity), founding Executive Director of the
International Process Network,** and a practicing business lawyer,
especially focuses ecologically. He has made several trips to China in the
last few years and has been instrumental in the ongoing translation of
Berry's books into Chinese, about which he lectured and in academia there.
His talk given at universities on his last trip to China this year grounds
their future in their profound past of Taoism, that if taken seriously today
can well make them a deeply motivated leader in the ecological mission
globally (ask him for a digital copy). He will be a presenter at the
upcoming JWM/JKM legacy symposium in DC, December 17-19.

Herman is a great soul -- totally depraved, graced, and elected, a la
Calvin. We are deeply grateful for his colleagueship.
