The  subject we are concerned with is the Spirituality of the Earth. By this
I  do not mean a spirituality that is directed toward an appreciation of
the  Earth. I speak of the Earth as subject, not as object.
 
In 1986, in Atlanta, where we gathered with some EI elementary kids and the 
 Imaginal Education study group, we sang Elvis Pressley's "Love Me Tender" 
as the  earth singing to humankind.  Try it.  You will hear the earth become 
a  subject, not an object.
