[Oe List ...] An interesting read

Thanks, George.  Orwell is a kind of hero for me, always a point of reference.  I read 1984 in the 9th grade (in 1965) and it has stayed with me.  I use his essay, "Politics and the English Language," every semester in a class.  This essay you sent is frightening and thought provoking.
