[Oe List ...] great quote for a great soul

Here you go, Jim and colleagues, who knew and relished the experiment called
Jon.

Mersault: "... I know what kind of life I'd have. I wouldn't make an
experiment out of my life. I would be the experiment of my life. Yes, I know
what passion would fill me with all its power. Before, I was too young. I
got in the way. Now I know that acting and suffering is living, of course,
but it's living only insofar as you can be transparent and accept your fate,
like the unique refleciton of a rainbow of joys and passions which is the
same for everyone." ~Albert Camus, A Happy Death, p. 41

Joureny on, dear Jon, into the deepest mystery yet.

And to Maureen, Jean-Paul Mersault, and Michael-James, grace and peace is
yours this day,

John C.

Does anyone have a copy of Happy Death by Albert Camus? There is a quote in
it we used that I have associated with Jon -- it starts, "I would be the
experiment of my life . . ."

Jim

Some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle and end. Life is about not
knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it,
without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious ambiguity. Gilda

Lela,

Thanks for letting us know of Jon's passing. What a shock. My condolences to
Maureen and Michael and all of Jon's colleagues. He was, indeed, a great
Spirit man.

It is with the saddest of hearts I regret to inform my colleagues of the
sudden unexpected death of Jon Jenkins.

I received a telephone call a couple hours ago from Maureen, who is visiting
family in Boston this week, advising that she had just learned the tragic
news that Jon died at their home in the Netherlands, apparently from natural
causes. Maureen will be flying back to the Netherlands tomorrow with her son
Michael.

For those of you who have not seen Jon in many years or perhaps knew of his
work but had never met him, here is a picture of Jon and his bio from their
website. <http://www.9disciplines.com/imaginal/index1.php?id=141>

Don and I had the great pleasure of spending last Christmas Eve and
Christmas Day with Jon, Maureen and their son Jean Paul in San Francisco.

Jon was a great Spirit Man. He had traveled the world for over 40 years
enabling other people in many walks of life to experience what it meant to
be on the Journey. He will be greatly missed.

Grace and Peace,

Lela Jahn
