Dear Maureen,

Please know that you and your family are in our prayers as you celebrate 
Jon's wonderful life.

We have  been reading Henri Nouwen's /Our Greatest Gift: A Meditation on 
Dying and Caring. /A group of us are dong a study with a friend with ALS 
and we are all finding the experience profound.

A quote:

"So my death will indeed be a rebirth. Something new will come to be, 
something about which I cannot say or think much. It lies beyond my own 
chronology. It is something that will last and carry on from generation 
to generation. In this way, I become a new parent, a parent of the future."


Jon was indeed a good parent of the future.
