Hi Dear John and Elaine,
Thank you for keeping us in touch across time zones and years at those
spots when we all stop in our tracks to remember one another, such as
this time when we stop, indeed, to mark the passing of our colleague,
Titus.
We are deeply grateful that you will be joining Augusta and others in
celebrating Titus's completed life on Wednesday, this week, a life for
which we give abundant thanks.
Joe and I met Titus and Augusta in 1969 when they were participants in
the first ITI in Singapore. They were strong Kuala Lumpur Region
colleagues, having taken courses and built a cadre in their locale (which
was either in Taiping or Penang -- our memories fail us at this point.)
We remember Titus was then a School Principal -- the strong layman who
offered so much to the movement in the KL Region and subsequently to the
globe. And not a step behind Titus was lovely Augusta -- so accomplished
in so many ways, and a strong female leader who like many of the rest of
us in the late 60's, early 70's represented one of the voices of a "new
day" in our Order.
Joe especially remembers Titus as "a scholar -- one who always explored
the next chapter, step or phase -- whether in theology, philosophy,
sociology." We eagerly looked forward to his annual holiday updates when
he would share his current understanding of 'the way life is,' in his
letter to us.
Joe always stopped and listened (to read) what Titus had to say --and
felt his wisdom was not to be ignored.
Our family stands in deep appreciation of the family Jayasekara, and the
important role they played in the building of the Spirit Movement in
SEAPAC and the Globe.
Grace and peace to all our colleagues in Sydney who carry on this legacy
of selfless service in small and large ways,
We love you and give deep thanks for your example to us in the US,
Marilyn and Joe Crocker

Dear Colleagues
We had a call from Augusta yesterday morning to tell us that Titus died
last Friday from a heart attack, complicated by his diabetic condition.
A cremation service will be held on Wednesday August 4th at 2:30pm at the
Forest Lawn Crematorium, Camden Valley Way, Leppington ( a suburb of
Sydney)
Following the cremation we will be celebrating Titus's completed life
over a 'cuppa' at Augusta's home.
If you would like to send a message to be read out at this time, please
send it to us at this email address and we will take it with us.
Or, if you just want us to pass a message to Augusta and Family, please
respond to this email.
For those wanting to send a card to Augusta, her address is: 28 Latina
