Hi folks--
On the road and just now checking email and discovered these emails re Come March Along. The song was written in 1975 and the tune is an original one as are the ones for Stillness Lingers in My Soul, New World Now, and The Trumpets Are Sounding. Rainbow Trail is written to an Indian tune Home of the Beaver; Victory's Cry's tune is Laquieparle (sp?) [Many and Great]; Coming Home New Jersey (also, New Brunswick/New England to the tune "Linda". Hope this helps.

Splendid as Wiegel's version is (dum da da dum dada dum dada dum
dum da da DA dum da da da-ah da . . . ) - if you'd like some musical notes with it, I can write it down for you. But let's check with Ellie first to see if she already has it written down.

I'll defer to Ellie Stock on this - but I believe she wrote both words and music to Come March Along. So sorry - it's not a well-known tune to anyone outside those influenced by ICA. Maybe we should name the tune "Ellie"! She wrote others at the same time in a great burst of creativity. Among them: Walk on the Rainbow Trail (influenced by Native American cultures) and Stillness Lingers in My Soul (a year or 2 after we studied The Dark Night of the Soul).

which ends:
…Come march along and we'll sing a new song
Come salute the Way of the dawning day
And death shall have no dominion here.
Thanks,
John
