I stand corrected relative to my "comprehensitity." But, Gordon, I do
especially value my input. However, if you want five or so, thanks for a
second chance and a little better context:
1. existential address -- RS-I and pedagogy
2. life-giving community -- the Order:Ecumenical
3. "the earth belongs to all" -- which I keep growing into
4. transparency -- that the Other World is in this world, always happening
5. "Fifth City to the World" -- social demonstration
6. our knowing, doing, and being methods -- especially our spirit methods
7. Ignatian Retreat -- still wondering if it had transforming power

Great idea! However, there is no bottom to this brainstorm.
True enough, John --
However, what I'm hoping for is not so much comprehensivity with respect to
each and every aspect of our past as the things we as individuals especially
value and feel could be of significant value to colleagues emerging and yet
to be. That might cut the list down to more manageable size.
Indeed, there may even be one or two components of our history that we'd not
recommend others appropriate. For example, I'm not sure whether Majuro the
bull or driving permeators to their work mornings in the old Hamje car,
where the driver could detach the steering wheel and hand it round to the
terrified passengers, are things that I'd personally add to this list.
Great sources of stories, to be sure--perhaps even of some learnings--but
they could probably be left off the list of things we particularly want to
pass on.
Still, now that I think about it, it would be fun to collect some of those
bits of our history as well, wouldn't it? Anyone up for starting that
list??
And many thanks, John, for coming up with something I'd never have
remembered without your prompting: Ignation Retreats, for God's sake!

I confess I started off cheating, going through the A's of "Golden
Pathways," spinning off, and to assuage my guilt thought I'd suggest others
do a bit of the same, starting with B's.... Thanks for the memories, John
