Dear Jeannette, 

You have blown my mind.  Your OE Christmas letter is the most jarringly important, timely, relevant, one I have ever received, although I've heard those facts before.  To get a Dialogue going on these issues--climate change or no future--is paramount.  As you state at the end of your letter,  " We can no longer afford to be intimidated by the scope and magnitude of the climate crisis. It is essential that our most talented and driven individuals come together to win this war."  Not to, is to say, The Future is Closed.  

Beyond our wonderful 36 solar panels, what do we--Richard and I--do next?  How do we get our two sons and their families engaged? Our church, our community?  Am I ready, willing, able?  Honestly, no.  

Thank you, Jeannette, and don"t let me off the hook with my "No and Yes" accountability response.  There's more than my family and country at stake.
