Must have been quite  wonderful.  We've been a fan of Baez since the 60's and have seen her in concert about 4 times, most recently in Austin a few years ago.  Her book, And a Voice to Sing With, explores some of her experiences with King.  Thanks for sending this news-Diann McCabe, San Marcos, TX

us to join in at the First UMC in Palo Alto, CA,  for their annual
community/interfaith celebration of MLK Jr.s life. Joan Baez was the
guest presenter. She told about her work with  Dr. Martin Luther King
Jr., and sang several songs.

I am so glad I was able to go. What a great tribute the whole event
was, and it tied in so well with our worship service this morning in
Aptos.
