[Oe List ...] New Orleans and the Saints

Over the years I have heard references to David Scott's "Theological Justification fo Football", but have never heard him lay it out.  Maybe now is a good time for him to do so.

  I generally concur with the "go saints!" call, but it was disappointing to see the vicious way they attacked Bret Favre. Sure, sacking is fine and the Saints were good at it. But some of the hits were unnecessary and apparently designed specifically to cause hurt (according to the announcers). That's a bit over the top. Maybe I'm just getting sympathetic towards elders. Still I'm pleased to see them in the Superbowl and hope they can play an honorable game.

    Kathryn and I woke up Monday morning with a delightful hangover. Thank you John for sharing this with everybody. Thank you Paul. The Super bowl is Feb 7 Please also note that in the midst of the ecstatic celebration downtown there was no property damage. I cannot say the same about liver damage. Go Saints! Our fair city is alive, well and sending people to Haiti. (Haiti sent people to New Orleans after the hurricane). Go Saints!
