Go Saints!!!!!
football is a very physical and sometimes violent sport.
I saw many of the hits on Favre. They did not look like they were extra hard when I compare them with hits given to quarterbacks around the NFL. And, he got hit too much. His offensive line did not pick up enough of the slack.
Quite frankly, Favre played more than well enough to win the game. The hits he took were a tribute to his talent. Amazing at all, it is, that he made it through the game.
Even on the last interception, it appeared to me that he did not make the mistake, it was the receiver who made the mistake. When a quarterback is scrambling the receiver is supposed to come back to the ball on catches like that one. Had the receiver done that he would have either caught it or possibly prevented the interception. Then Minnesota would have had a chance to kick a field goal and win the game and we wouldn't be talking about "go saints!".
I thought both teams played well and both deserved to win and I'm REALLY glad that the Saints WON!
feeling full of silly football thoughts,
Jon Elizondo
