Carlos I would like to hear your Hahn sisters story both because I too 
am a fan and think are phenomenal.  Also I was there but it was a long 
time ago..and faraway.

My view on the spiritual qualities of American football is blessed by 
the fact that I have not had a team since Evelyn (my wife) got me 
addicted to Joe Montana and the 49'ers.  Now I watch because I like to 
and I hardly ever have a team so who wins or loses is less important 
than a game well played.

Paul this is a childhood addiction so it does not matter that football 
(rest of the world except Australia variety) is a much less bloody and 
much more continuous game.  I enjoy watching it as well from time to 
time with a similar attraction but less addiction.
