[Oe List ...] Camp Thanks

I've sent this string to my three sons, Barry, who was 6, Patrick, who was  
8 and Scott, who was 11 when we sent them to Louisiana on the train from 
San  Francisco with Patricia Stewart, along with Tom and Jon Wainwright and 
Debra and  Jon Elizondo.  Our daughter Suzanne was on the 6th grade trip.
 
I've always thought it was idiotic that we sent those 7 children across the 
 country  to a hurricane-wrecked and  infested camp site, and the S.F.  
area did a  camp in the Sierra for the children of area colleagues who went  to 
Chicago that summer. The two older Butcher girls were there, among others. 
I  "did" that camp, along with Marti Kurihara and several other regional  
colleagues, It wasn't an easy assignment, but I wouldn't trade the memories.  
Just wish my own kids had been there instead of so sick in Louisiana.  
Idiotic, like so many of our E.G. decisions. How did we let that  happen?
 
Anyway, I add my thanks to Carlos and Ann for pulling our children through.
