Dear Colleagues,
At last the information about the Common Dreams Conference held in  
Melbourne, in April, has come through.
I suggest that those of you who wrote asking me to send any of the  
lectures ,consider Fred Plumer, Margaret Mayman, Greg Jenks and Val  
Webb.  These folks in my view, were exceedingly well worth hearing.  
It is very hard to buy sight unseen or unheard, I reckon.  ( I had  
thought the lectures were all to be available by ordinary download,  
silly me).

We are suddenly having a national Election in about  3+ weeks, and on  
Tuesday this week the Prime MInister, Julia Gillard came to the Block  
of units where we live, in Leichhardt, doing  one of her " street  
walks" and I had some time with her. I had written to her the day  
before, with some suggestions of things she could fix, and she was  
actually friendly.  I am not at all pleased with her Immigration  
policy and I told all the reporters that. My moment of being on  
national Television...
