>I just finished a book called Acts of Faith: The Story of an
>American Muslim, the Struggle for the Soul of a Generation by Eboo
>Patel. This book is one from the reading list of the United
>Methodist Women. Eboo Patel has started a youth movement called
>Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC) which connects youth of various
>religious backgrounds in doing social action projects and discussing
>their own faith traditions, without trying to convert the others.

>The book is well worth your reading, and the movement is on the net

Karen,
Thanks for sharing this. Our Church and Society committee has
explored the idea of having an educational meeting with people from
the local Muslim group. At my former school there are several Muslim
students enrolled, and until yesterday I was unaware of any kinds of
prejudicial behaviors towards any of them.
I've forwarded your post to our pastor who is very interested
int his kind of thing.
	Thanks again!
Ruth
