Yesterday six of us from our UMC church went to hear Marcus Borg 
speak on "An Emerging Jesus for an Emerging Christianity". It helped 
illuminate for me our Lenten study of his book The Last Week. He also 
quoted Spong. He is another one you might add to your list.
