[Oe List ...] The Therenees of it All

Charles, what's really odd is that Joe Mathews' name didn't get any mention in the Time article (considering his impact on the CF&LC). My only guess why is that, as I vaguely (and perhaps imprecisely) recall, Mathews & Co. had already split by the time the article was written. It's like somebody erased the history for the press, or rather the 'public story.'

Just a small correction, Marshall.  Jack Lewis was founder and "Leader" of the Christian Faith and Life Community,  Joe Mathews came to CF&LC in the Summer of 1956 to be Director of Sudies.

Yes, Jack Lewis was the founder of CF&LC. Joe Mathews (that's with a single 'T', Susan) was later hired as Dean.

So this Lewis (about whom I've never heard anything until now) was Matthews'
predecessor?  I thought Matthews was the founder.
