Hi Marge and all,
I saw Russell Wheelock yesterday morning as we were leaving Chicago. He said that I helped teach him RS-1 in Chicago in 1964. Also, I have no uncertainty about the date of the group leaving Austin. It was 1962.

I believe that 1960 was the year that Joe came to Chicago to be the
Ecumenical Institute and thus was no longer in Austin when the article
was posted. Today Russell Wheelock, who is here from Kansas City
working on the archives, told me that he went from Iowa to the Faith
and Life community in Austin and did RS-1 when Mathews was no longer
there. I didn't ask if he remembered the names of his teachers. He
said several other students were with him on that trip. to Austin. The
archives may reveal some information about dates. We have copies of
many study papers from the CF&LC sent to me by Wes Selliger's widow.
He was a F&LC person who was an Episcopal priest in Houston. Marge
