[Oe List ...] Pedagogue list of last 20 years

Doesn't let me off the hook at all.  Just means that I can take a different
relationship to things not going the way I expect or want after a lot of
hard work. Kinda that thing about "the past is approved".  Kinda that thing
Bonhoeffer talked about in describing freedom in obedience. Kinda that thing
about offering up history to God once you've done everything humanly
possible to do what you think is right.

Yes, Herman.  But it is not something other than me that is in control that
is problematic; it is the fact that it lets me off the hook too easily, and
there is a convenient target when things do not pan out the way I want it -
either at the good girl or her alter ego, the Siren down at the boiling
couldron. 

 

Not trying to mess up your triune reality here, Susan.  I do think it is
refreshing to hear someone claim that they have retrieved previous thought
patterns (obviously my rewording), and if going back to God makes life more
stable for you, then God bless!

 

I've gone to G-d, and the sound is fast receding into the sunset.
