[Oe List ...] Walking shoes?

Dear Friends,

As we look forward to the ALS Walk in 3 weeks, Fred is experiencing new
patterns each day.  The most recent is that he needs to use a cough assist
machine that enables him to cough. If this continues, he may not be able to
WALK the walk this year.  How-ever, when I mentioned this to a couple of
community folks, they immediately responded, "if Fred wants to do the WALK,
we will make sure it can happen."  Whatever happens on Saturday, October
2nd, Fred will be walking with us in spirit if not in his wheelchair.  His
spirits continue to be high and he still feels he is being of service to all
he encounters.
