DO YOU KNOW WHAT I HAVE DONE?
A table, a chair
a tired soul, baring
feet encrusted with journey’s dust—
cleansing needed, but who will come?
A basin, a towel
a Servant, on knee trowelling,
feet washing—freeing from clinging crud—
do you know what I have done?
A table, a chair
a broken soul, searching—
heart crushed by burdens unending—
will you do what I have done?
A basin, a towel
a servant soul finding
Hope reborn, now helplessness shedding—
called to do what I have done?
A table, a chair
a basin, a towel
a longing world waiting, creation baiting
first be last; if greatest, be least
an example setting, on behalf of all serving
Spirit strength surging
New Heaven, New Earth converging.
Do you know what I have done?
