Good illustration of Bonhoeffer's OJWDA by S&P action on USA credit
worthiness:

Observe: all the data
Judge: USA vulnerable
Weigh up: "not much difference between AAA and AA+ rating; a nudge for USA
to do better" (paraphrase of their head man)
Decide: publish/proclaim the lower rating
Act: they did at close of day on Friday and all hell broke loose in global
markets today

They screwed up on WEIGH UP: the difference it makes for USA and global
economies is enormous, quite possibly a double dip global recession.

A good example of moralism ... which seldom weighs up: go by the rules no
matter the consequences (also Tea Party).

Moody's and Fitch agencies left USA at AAA rating.

End of illustration. 

I do not like the morality of the Tea Party members in Congress and the S&P.
(I could have said this much more forcefully!)
