[Oe List ...] Another Time article

Charles's and my memories rarely fit together; so here is my version.

As for the "Global Research Trips," we (Charles and I) had stipend deductions
for years paying that money back. (Lyn, who was head of Order Finances often
told this story to people for one reason or another). Other people may have paid
for those trips another way; don't know.

Early on, when we were assigned "overseas," we were asked to raise travel
money. We all wrote letters and made phone calls. Some people raised the money,
and some didn't, but no one stayed in the U.S. because of lack of travel funds.

So there's the real story.

Doris

Re the Travel Fund: When we arrived in 1964 we were sending two couples each
year on a research trip to one of our global grid "Geo-Social Contininents. I
cannot remember who went where except for a very few: Mathews & ? to Aftica, ?
& ? to Europe, Hahns and Pierces to NAME(North Aftica and Middle East) in '66,
and Addingtons & ? to Latin America in '67. I think that ended it. As I recall
we were urged to raise our airfair, and we raised a big piece of that from
Doris' mother. It seems to me that the other expenses were paid for some other
way (? Funds). Perhaps someone else can fill in any gaps.

It looks like my comment was misunderstood. I should have added LOL after it.
 I was teasing us.

Elsa, I know of many who did use the education fund. Sorry if I brought up hurt
feelings.
